Custom Window Treatment Process
- Customer decides to dress windows
- Customer hires a Designer
- Designer and customer work on selecting style and fabric of window treatments
- Evmar Interiors' experienced installers visit customers home for accurate measurements
- After selection is complete, order is placed to vendors with desired fabric
- Fabric is shipped to Evmar Interiors Workroom
- Fabric is thoroughly inspected for flaws before cutting
- Using precise cutting machines, fabric is cut according to designer specifications
- Fabric is then moved onto production tables to be joined by our skilled seamstresses
- Special attention is placed in choosing the best patterns for the bottom of the draperies
- Patterns and repeats are always matched
- This gives appearance of custom ever flowing pattern
- The fabric is then brought to the sewing machines
- The double 4 inch hems at the bottom of draperies are pressed and ready to be blind stitched
- This gives the hems a clean finish edge; stitch becomes invisible to the outside
- Highest quality lining and interlining available are used on all treatments
- Flannel interlining is used with silk fabrics
- The tops of print drapery in the same room will match
- Top Treatments are fabricated with special care
- Pattern placement is especially important to Evmar Interiors
- The skilled craftsmanship of Evmar Interiors determines the best pattern for any fabric
- For example, on Swags and Valances, important elements are chosen to be positioned perfectly for the best look of the window treatment
- We strongly believe this achieves the custom look that is desired
- Trims are carefully applied to prevent appearance of stitches to the back side of the treatment
- High Grade Boards are cut to the precise size and covered in a lining or matching fabric
- Top of the boards are covered in the face fabric for a continuous appearance of the treatment
- Our draperies are made with 2 1/2 to 3 times the fullness for custom look
- Draperies are moved to another production table to be marked for pleats
- We offer numerous types of pleats
- Pinch, Fan, Goblet, Inverted, Box, Cartridge, and many more
- Draperies are then thoroughly inspected to abide by Evmar Interiors high standards
- Treatments are carefully packed for shipping
- Installer and customer make arrangements for installation
